The Swiss Windband Association (SWB) acts as an umbrella organisation for 32 associated member organisations sharing the common aim of promoting Band Music and at the same time getting young people involved in this cultural activity and supporting their musical education.

A total of 2'075 ensembles across Switzerland are actively implementing these aims, providing some 76'000 members the opportunity to make music themselves. All social levels are represented, while the music performed ranges from symphonic music to pop-music including all musical styles and instrumentations (e.g. Brass Bands).
